Australia shine under Friday night lights at the World Cup

Friday night saw Australian success across the board with multiple MAG and WAG athletes qualifying for finals, setting-up a super Sunday showdown.

Mitch Morgans (2nd) and Tyson Bull (5th) both qualified through to the Horizontal Bar final, along with Dutch superstar, Epke Zonderland.
A strong showing on Vault saw James Bacueti also advance through to Sunday’s final. Qualifying in second spot, James will be looking to go one better and come home with gold.
The final rotation of the night saw Mitch Morgan’s grab his spot in the Parallel Bars final, coming in at 8th with a score of 13.600.

A strong field on the Floor which contained Carey (USA), Ferrari (ITA) and Mori (ITA) couldn’t stop Georgia Godwin as she qualified 4th and Breanna Scott 7th. Emma Nedov, currently ranked number 1 in World Cup standings, continued her run on Beam, qualifying for Sunday’s final, alongside fellow Australian Georgia Godwin.

Make sure you get your tickets now to witness what could be a monumental night for gymnastics in Australia.

If you can’t make it to Melbourne Arena tomorrow night, be sure to tune in to Kayo to see Georgia Godwin and Georgia-Rose Brown compete in the Uneven Bars final.
