Trampoline World Cup in Baku


Baku, Azerbaijan hosted the Trampoline World Cup over the weekend, which saw a number of Australian athletes perform exceptionally well and earn much sought-after qualification points as the road to Tokyo 2020 begins to heat up.

A strong performance from Dominic Clarke saw a 16th place finish in the Senior Men’s Trampoline, which ensures valuable Olympic qualification ranking points were secured. 

An impressive showing from Ethan McGuinness in the Senior Men’s Tumbling saw him narrowly edged out by Kaden Brown of the United States as he clinched 2nd position.

Meanwhile in the Senior Women Synchronised Trampoline, Kira Ward and Eva Kierath put together an imposing routine, finishing 6th overall.

Jessica Pickering finished 8th following an impressive performance in a highly talented field in the Senior Women Trampoline. 

All athletes will be hoping to improve on their Baku performances as the next stop visits Brescia, Italy in April.
