Club Induction Program
Why do clubs need an induction?
With the introduction of the new coaching framework as well as many other changes within the sport sector– now more than ever it is important to ensure that coaches are aware of their roles and responsibilities as an employee as well as different legislation that may impact them.
Gymnastics NSW has developed an interactive online course that is targeted towards providing club personnel with important updates in these areas as well as provides information to coaches on their responsibilities and expectations in the gym.
What is involved?
The interactive online short course is an evolution of the face to face club induction workshop which has been delivered across the state since 2013.
The course has been developed in line with the Intermediate Coaches Pre Course workbook that requires participants to address different areas within the gym. However the course is suitable for all coaches regardless of experience, accreditation, age or gymsport.
Topics include; Member Protection, Workplace Health and Safety, Complaint Management and Roles and Responsibilities as a coach.
How to get involved
All Gymnastics NSW members receive complimentary access to the training and will also receive two updating points for the successful completion of all three modules
Registration is easy with online sign up available. To access the training, please contact email@example.com
"The club induction presentation provided a tailored approach towards our specific club needs in a professional yet ‘staff friendly’ environment that related to coaches of all ages within our club. It covered all necessary aspects for all employees and could be used as an induction process for all new employees” Liz Medway- Club Director South Coast Gymnastics Academy.
